At Watches and Wonders 2025, Jaeger-LeCoultre has unveiled the Reverso Tribute Geographic, integrating World Time and Grande Date. Price €22,000
Jaeger-LeCoultre is launching today, on the occasion of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 (April 1-7), the Reverso Tribute Geographic, a new Reverso model integrating two complications: the Grande Date on the dial side and the World Time on the back.
A World Time watch is both practical, displaying 24 time zones at once, and evocative, symbolising travel and discovery. The complication dates back to 1884, when global standard time was established with the Greenwich Meridian as the reference. Geneva watchmaker Louis Cottier perfected it in 1931 with his ‘Heure Universelle’ mechanism, which still inspires modern designs.
Jaeger-LeCoultre introduced its first World Time watch in 1958 and has since integrated the function into several collections. In 1998, the brand unveiled the Reverso Géographique, its first travel-focused Reverso, limited to 500 pieces.
In 2025, La Grande Maison introduces the complication in the Reverso Tribute line for the first time.
Available in stainless steel with a blue dial (ref. Q714845J) or in pink gold with chocolate-toned dial (ref. Q714256J), the new Reverso Tribute Geographic comes in a 49.4 mm x 29.9 mm x 11.14 mm thick case which houses the Jaeger-LeCoultre Calibre 834, a hand-wound movement implementing a World Time complication that is both easy to read and simple to set.
A hidden pusher, accessible at the top of the case when it is removed from the cradle, allows for effortless adjustment. The tactile pusher makes a sharp and crisp slide to correct the indication with a 1-hour jump.
The signature Tribute dial is enhanced by a captivating sunray finish. The circular small seconds counter creates a pleasing contrast with the watch’s linear design while mirroring the world time display on the reverse.
The large date display is framed in polished metal that matches the case and amplifies its rectangular lines.
On the reverse side, the world time display is set into the polished caseback. On the steel model, details in shades of blue contrast with the cool tones of the metal, while the warmth of the pink gold model is complemented by black and grey details.
Built on three levels, the display creates a sense of depth. The city names are engraved directly onto the caseback. Set within the aperture, the rotating 24-hour ring indicates day and night; the central world map features longitude lines for added orientation.
Crafted in-house at Jaeger-LeCoultre, the map combines lacquering and laser engraving. A steel disc is laser-etched to hollow out the oceans, leaving raised land masses and meridian lines. Lacquer is then carefully applied by hand using a syringe to fill the oceans.
Polished multiple times to ensure a flawless finish, the lacquer and metal reflect light differently, creating a refined three-dimensional effect.
Developed specifically for this model, the in-house produced Calibre 834 is a fully integrated movement rather than a modular one and offers 42 hours of power reserve.
The world time complication features a 24-hour time zone display with a world map at its centre. Unlike most world timers, where the city disc rotates while the 24-hour display remains fixed, Jaeger-LeCoultre has reversed this, keeping the city names static while the 24-hour ring rotates for improved readability. The ring moves in hourly increments, adjustable via the pusher placed between the lugs at the top of the case.
For the Grande Date display, Jaeger-LeCoultre takes advantage of the patented date mechanism introduced in 2021 for the Reverso Tribute Nonantième to fit the Reverso’s rectangular case.
Instead of stacked discs, it uses two side-by-side discs: one for units (1–9) and one for tens (10, 20, 30). A small hook mechanism ensures smooth transitions and keeps both digits on the same plane for better visual balance.
Water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet, this model comes with two interchangeable straps by Casa Fagliano. The steel model includes a leather-and-canvas strap inspired by summer polo boots and a full calfskin strap. The pink gold version features golden-tan calfskin and black alligator options.
Pricing of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Tribute Geographic starts at €22,100 for the stainless steel version (ref. Q714845J). jaeger-lecoultre.com
