Available in titanium and steel, these novelties introduce new details and technical features while preserving the core identity of its signature aesthetic and functionality.
Key elements remain the signature safety lock system, a distinctive feature that defines Panerai’s visual identity, as well as the luminous dial with sandwich construction.
The clean dial, featuring only the Maison’s name and ‘Luminor Marina’ alongside an enlarged beveled date display, offers a bolder and more refined look. The rhodium small seconds display enhances usability by allowing users to verify functionality at a glance.
For the first time in Panerai’s core collection, the series utilizes the Super-LumiNova X2 for increased brightness.
The new Luminor Marina series is powered by the new P.980 calibre, a 3-day power reserve automatic movement that includes a traversing balance bridge, enhancing stability and performance accuracy.
Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this movement features a stop-second function, allowing for precise time-setting by halting the seconds hand when the crown lever is pulled out.
Its construction includes new finishing for an essential design visible through an open sapphire case-back, and it operates at a frequency designed to maintain consistent, accurate timekeeping over extended use.
The new Luminor Marina series offers, for the first time, water resistance up to 50 bar (~500 meters / 1,670 feet), a debut standard for the collection. The previous generation was rated 30 bar.
Building on Panerai’s legacy of creating reliable, high-performance timepieces, each watch undergoes rigorous testing at a pressure 25% greater than the guaranteed water resistance value to ensure it meets Panerai’s stringent standards.
Thanks also to the caliber’s sleeker proportions and a 4.2 mm thickness, the 44 mm case design has been modernized with a reduced thickness by 12% ( 13.7 mm) and a weight reduced by 15% for comfort and wearability.
Another notable update is the addition of streamlined lugs and the PAM Click release system on both strap and buckle, available for the first time with the Luminor Marina which makes strap changes effortless and tool-free.
At launch, five references have been presented, one in titanium and four in stainless steel.
The new Luminor Marina Titanio PAM003325 combines a high-tech material like titanium with an olive green dial reminiscent of the Maison’s military origins.
For this model, Panerai chose to use Grade 5 titanium, an alloy of titanium, aluminium, and vanadium that is both lighter and tougher than steel. It is also particularly resistant to corrosion and physical wear, providing robustness and longevity for everyday use. This version is paired with a dark green scamosciato calf strap and comes with a second dark green rubber strap. Price: €9,900.
The 44 mm Luminor Marina models in steel are crafted from Panerai’s premium AISI 316LVM - 1.4441 stainless steel, known for its strength and corrosion resistance, further enhanced by the low-carbon variant of this alloy.
It is vacuum arc remelted to maximize purity, and therefore it improves the resistance to corrosion. This high-quality alloy consists of iron with 16-18% chromium, 11-14% nickel, and 2-3% molybdenum, engineered for optimal strength and resilience.
Three iterations in steel are paired with alligator leather straps: PAM03312 with a matte black dial, PAM03313 with a sun-brushed blue dial, and PAM03314 with a matte white dial. Each model also includes a second rubber strap in matching colours. Both first and second strap, as well as the buckle, are equipped with the PAM Click Release System. Each of these three steel versions has a suggested retail price of €8,900.
Finally, the Luminor Marina PAM03323 introduces a new bracelet with a progressive V-shape design that tapers from case to buckle for a lighter feel. It features brushed interior links and polished edges, creating a dynamic play of light.
The bracelet debuts the Quick Length Adjustment feature, allowing 2 mm extensions on each side for a perfect fit throughout the day. Equipped with the PAM Click Release System, it enables effortless strap changes.
This model is also distinguished by a light blue sun-brushed dial, a first-ever colourway for the brand. Its price is €9,900. panerai.com
