At Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025, Cyrus launched the new Dominion collection, debuting a completely new round case design.
The first model in this line, the Dominion GMT, features a practical retrograde dual time function, previously implemented in the Klepcys case (read our review of the Klepcys GMT here).
Measuring 42 mm in diameter and 16.13 mm in thickness (including the double anti-reflective sapphire crystal), the new case stands out with a finely worked caseband that frames the signature twin crowns.
Each crown is adorned with the brand’s logo and decorated with slanting grooves for improved grip. Alternating polished and brushed finishes highlight the case’s sculptural curves.
With a water resistance of 10 bar (approximately 100 metres or 330 feet), the watch is well suited for travel and daily wear.
At launch, the Dominion GMT is available in two limited editions: Dominion GMT Gold, crafted in 5N rose gold with titanium inlays on the lugs (25 pieces), and Dominion GMT Titanium, entirely made from Grade 5 titanium (28 pieces).
The slim bezel offers ample space for the dial, designed for quick reading of both local and home time.
Cyrus integrates the GMT function in a distinctive way using an in-house movement visible through a partially openworked dial. The upper bridge, shaped like a palm tree and finished in 5N rose gold via galvanic treatment, creates a bold visual focal point while revealing elements of the gear train beneath.
On the first level of the multi-layered dial, black PVD-coated hour and minute hands indicate local time on a transparent, anti-reflective sapphire disc with large printed Arabic numerals.
Home time is shown via a white hand with a triangular luminescent tip that follows a retrograde 24-hour display in matte grey lacquer.
This scale is interrupted at 6 o’clock by the small seconds counter, decorated with raised triangles and finished in anthracite grey. The small seconds hand takes the form of a three-armed helix, a key symbol of the brand.
When the white GMT hand reaches 24 at 5 o’clock, it jumps to the corresponding 24 at 7 o’clock to avoid obscuring the small seconds sub-dial.
All hands, indices and numerals are coated with white Super-LumiNova emitting a long-lasting blue glow for enhanced readability in low light.
Time-setting is intuitive and user-friendly. The crown at 3 o’clock winds the movement in position 0 and adjusts the local time in position 1. During this adjustment, the retrograde hand indicating home time moves in sync with the hour and minute hands.
The crown at 9 o’clock is used exclusively for adjusting the local hour hand. Each press of the pusher advances it by one hour—ideal when arriving at a new destination. This operation does not affect the minutes or the home time display.
The case back is engraved with: “Movement by J.F. Mojon,” water resistance details, and the limited edition number ("One of XX"), and is fitted with a double anti-reflective sapphire crystal showcasing the automatic manufacture movement, Calibre CYR708.
Its anthracite grey NAC-treated bridges echo the palm tree motif and are finished with a combination of satin brushing and microbillé texture.
The monobloc oscillating weight, openworked with a sunray pattern, is engraved with the brand’s motto “The Conquest of Innovation” and coated using ALD technology to match the dial colour. The case back is secured with custom screws featuring the Cyrus three-armed helix logo.
Beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this high-precision movement delivers a 55-hour power reserve.
The watch is paired with a black leather strap secured by a pin buckle in matching case material.
The Cyrus Dominion GMT Titanium (ref. 528.507.TT.A), limited to 28 pieces, is priced at CHF 24,800 excluding taxes. The Dominion GMT Gold (ref. 528.507.GG.A), limited to 25 pieces, is available for CHF 44,800, also excluding taxes. cyrus-watches.ch
