To mark the 20th anniversary of its most emblematic collection, Hublot unveils the Big Bang 20th Anniversary editions. Prices from €21,600
To mark the 20th anniversary of its most emblematic collection, Hublot revisits key milestones in the Big Bang’s history, blending design elements from the original model with the modern Big Bang Unico to create the Big Bang 20th Anniversary, presented as five limited-edition timepieces.
Each edition merges signature details from the first Big Bang models with features of the later Big Bang Unico, bridging past and present.
All five models share a redesigned case with the collection’s signature layered construction, evoking the earliest Big Bangs with pinched lugs and a knurled bezel edge, while retaining the unmistakable Big Bang silhouette.
43 mm in diameter and 13.20 mm thick, they offer water resistance to 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet).
The engraved dials, featuring a carbon fibre-inspired relief motif, retain the riveted Arabic numerals and indexes of the original Big Bang models, now filled with Super-LumiNova, as seen in the Big Bang Unico.
The dial includes two counters: small seconds at 9 o’clock and a chronograph minutes counter at 3 o’clock, now powered by the Unico automatic manufacture chronograph movement.
A commemorative gold rotor marks the collection’s 20th anniversary. Operating at 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a 72-hour power reserve.
The structured rubber strap, featuring a treaded lozenge pattern reminiscent of the original Big Bang models, is attached using the One Click strap-change mechanism integrated into the case.
For these five editions, Hublot has chosen materials that have played a significant role in the collection’s history.
Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Titanium Ceramic ref. 431.NM.1337.RX and Big Bang 20th Anniversary King Gold Ceramic ref. 431.OM.1338.RX
When the Big Bang debuted in 2005, it introduced a bold design philosophy that would define the collection: the Art of Fusion. By combining diverse materials with a patterned dial evoking carbon fibre and a striking touch of red, Hublot created an instantly recognisable timepiece that earned worldwide acclaim.
Inspired by those original models, the Big Bang 20th Anniversary editions reinterpret the concept with modern refinements. Limited to 500 pieces in titanium ceramic and 250 pieces in King Gold ceramic, they are priced at CHF 18,900 / €21,600 / US$20,800 and CHF 33,900 / €39,900 / US$38,400, respectively.
Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic ref. 431.CF.1313.RX
Ceramic has been integral to the evolution of the Big Bang, but Hublot took it a step further by pioneering the production of vibrant coloured ceramics—something previously unseen in watchmaking. Mastering this material involves overcoming significant challenges, from selecting the right pigments to precisely controlling pressure and temperature to ensure structural integrity and uniform colour. Each hue requires a unique process, perfected through extensive experimentation.
Hublot’s first in-house developed coloured ceramic was red, unveiled in 2018. The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Red Magic, limited to 100 pieces, celebrates this breakthrough. Price: CHF 28,900 / €33,000 / US$31,800.
Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary All Black ref. 431.CI.1340.RX
Hublot introduced the All Black concept in 2006 with the first Big Bang All Black limited edition. Rather than prioritising functionality or readability, this bold approach embraced invisible visibility, a design philosophy that strips away colour and light for a stealthy, monochromatic aesthetic.
The Big Bang 20th Anniversary All Black Edition reinterprets this concept with modern refinements. Limited to 500 pieces, it is priced at CHF 22,900 / €26,200 / US$25,200.
Hublot Big Bang 20th Anniversary Full Magic Gold ref. 431.MX.1330.RX
Unveiled in 2011, Magic Gold is the world’s first and only scratch-resistant 18-karat gold alloy. By merging the resilience of ceramic with the brilliance of gold, Hublot created a unique material with a distinctive golden hue and a subtle green tint. Its exceptional hardness makes it resistant to scratches and oxidation, ensuring lasting durability.
The Big Bang 20th Anniversary Magic Gold Edition, limited to 100 pieces, is priced at CHF 36,900 / €42,200 / US$40,500.
Commenting the commemorative Big Bang 20th Anniversary editions, Hublot CEO Julien Tornare has said: "The Hublot Big Bang is undoubtedly one of the modern icons of 21st century watchmaking. This year, we’re not only looking back at all that Hublot has achieved through the Big Bang, but also looking towards the future and all the potential it still holds and possibilities it offers." hublot.com
