Among various chronograph novelties presented at Watches & Wonders 2025 (Geneva, April 1-7), Baume & Mercier also introduced the Riviera Chronograph “Panda” M0A10827.

Playing with black-and-white contrasts for a sport-chic style, the watch comes in a 41 mm × 13.94 mm stainless steel case with a dodecagonal bezel, a defining element of the Riviera since its creation in 1973. Following its reintroduction in 2021, the design was further enriched with four fastening screws.

The alternating brushed and polished finishes emphasize the case’s dynamic design, while the octagonal crown harmonises with the bezel. Despite not having a screw-down crown, water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 bar (approximately 100 metres / 330 feet).

The crown and the chronograph push-buttons are adorned with a black line.

The recurring Greek letter Phi, also engraved on the crown, is a symbol of the golden ratio or divine proportion as well aa the brand's logo.

Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the white dial features a 3-6-9 tricompax layout and features a wave decor edged with a black outer flange that complements the snailed black counters.

In contrast with these dark finishes, the Roman numerals and riveted indexes, as well as the faceted hour and minute hands, are rhodium-plated and coated with white Super-LumiNova glowing blue in dark environments.

The chronograph seconds hand, featuring the signature Phi logo counterweight, is also rhodium-plated like the hands of the counters. That of the counter at 9 o’clock, used for the running seconds, is also coated with white Super-LumiNova.

Appearing in a small window at 4:30, the date can be adjusted using the corrector at 10 o’clock.

The Riviera Chronograph M0A10827 is equipped with the Valjoux 7753 Calibre, a highly reliable and time-tested self-winding movement whose chronograph functions are controlled through a rotating cam that engages or disengages various components, such as the chronograph lever and the reset hammer.

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hours), it offers a 48-hour power reserve.

The movement and its unidirectional winding rotor enhanced by Côtes de Genève decoration and the engraved logo of the brand are visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.

The integrated three-row stainless steel bracelet is reworked with decorative bevels on the central link. The triple folding buckle with security push-pieces secures it to the wrist.

Thanks to the proprietary Fast Strap interchangeability system, it is possible to quickly and easily change the bracelet with other straps in the Baume & Mercier range that are optionally available.
