A. Lange & Söhne 1815 now available in 34 mm white and pink gold versions

1815 is the birth year of Ferdinand A. Lange, the founder of A. Lange & Söhne, and the collection paying homage to him well adheres to his original product philosophy: "Each piece should be as simple as possible and serve its purpose steadfastly and reliably”.

The collection is now enriched by two new classic three-hand 1815 models characterised by a smaller case, available in 750 white or pink gold, measuring 34 mm in diameter and only 6.4 mm in height.

The streamlined proportions make these models highly discreet and unpretentiously elegant.

Framed by a slightly tiered bezel, the blue dial is crafted from 925 silver and features the typical Arabic numerals, a peripheral railway-track minute scale, and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at 6 o’clock, reminiscent of earlier Lange pocket watches.

The lancet-shaped hands match the case material and emphasize the classic character of the 1815.

The newly developed manufacture calibre L152.1, the 75th created by the brand, can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.

Its distinctive style elements are the hand-engraved balance cock and the three-quarter plate, introduced in 1864 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte. Decorations include Glashütte ribbing, screwed gold chatons, bearing-mounted jewels and thermally blued screws.

Operating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), the hand-wound calibre L152.1 offers 72 hours of power reserve.

The white-gold model features a blue leather strap while the pink-gold version is paired with a reddish-brown strap. They are secured with polished prong buckles in white or pink gold.
