The new MeisterSinger Kaenos Collection with integrated steel bracelet for a sporty design, debuting at Watches and Wonders 2025. Prices from €2,650
MeisterSinger is unveiling the all-new Kaenos Collection, which the German watchmaker will showcase at the upcoming Watches and Wonders Geneva 2025 (April 1-7).
With the Kaenos, the recognised leader in single-handed watches introduces a line of timepieces with a sportier look, while still retaining the distinctive traits of MeisterSinger's creations.
The name “Kaenos” comes from the Greek word kainos, meaning “new” or “fresh,” and also alludes to the Cenozoic era—an epoch of renewal in the Earth’s history. A fitting choice, as the Kaenos represents a new chapter for MeisterSinger.
Manfred Brassler, founder, designer, and managing director, explains: “At MeisterSinger we attach great importance to a clear design language. Our watches are said to be unmistakable and easy to identify, even from a distance. I am convinced that, as a concept, singe-hand watches essentially appeal to a wide range of people, regardless of age, gender, culture, or wearing habits. In the past, our focus had mainly been on classic, elegantly designed watches. With the Kaenos, we want to make the single-hand watch even more accessible – a watch that proves itself to be a reliable, helpful companion in everyday life while retaining the typical MeisterSinger character and the advantages of a single-hand watch.”
The Kaenos was developed completely from scratch. The surfaces of the 40 mm x 11.20 mm case are partly polished and partly brushed, giving its body a particularly elegant and dynamic appearance.
The steel bracelet, also featuring both polished and brushed surfaces, is seamlessly integrated with the case and designed for optimal wearing comfort.
The redesigned, non-slip, easy-to-use crown bears the fermata symbol from the MeisterSinger logo, which denotes the ‘rest’ mark in musical notation. Water resistance of up to 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet) enhances the watch’s versatility in various situations.
Beneath a domed sapphire crystal, the dial features a layered construction, with numerals and hour markers precisely cut out from the upper layer to reveal a luminous layer beneath.
This multi-dimensional design enhances depth while ensuring optimal legibility, even in low-light conditions.
The newly designed luminous hour hand, inspired by early measuring instruments, further reflects MeisterSinger’s distinctive aesthetic.
At launch, the new product family is divided into two lines: the Kaenos, featuring a large date at 6 o’clock, and the Kaenos Open Date, which has an open date disk displaying the date below the 12 o’clock position.
Kaenos references: sunburst petrol (KS939), sunburst ice blue (KS914), sunburst gray (KS927), black (KS902)
Kaenos Open Date references: sunburst petrol (KSOD939), sunburst ice blue (KSOD914), sunburst gray (KSOD927), black (KSOD902)
Both product lines are available in four dial options. One in deep matt midnight black and three with a fine sunburst finish in light gray, ice blue, or petrol, which create a fascinating play of colors, depending on the incidence of light.
The Kaenos is powered by the Sellita SW400 Swiss automatic movement, whose larger diameter allows the date aperture to be positioned at the dial’s perimeter at 6 o’clock.
The Kaenos Open Date is driven by the Swiss-made Sellita SW200. At midnight, the date switches to the next day instantly.
Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movements are visible through the glass exhibition case back. The rotor provides a 38-hour power reserve.
The new MesisterSinger Kaenos has a suggested retail price of €2,650, while the Kaenos Open Date is priced at €2,950. meistersinger.com
