Breitling presents the Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar, in steel with an ice-blue dial, platinum bezel and Caliber B19. Price €28,000

Introduced in 1952, the Navitimer collection has become a cornerstone of Breitling's offerings, renowned for its functionality and association with aviation.

The latest addition, the Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar, stands out with its ice-blue dial, platinum bezel, stainless steel case, and Breitling’s Caliber B19, a perpetual calendar chronograph movement previously available only in a limited anniversary series.

The imposing 43 mm case is equipped with a cambered sapphire crystal, treated with double-sided anti-reflective coating, for a total thickness of 14.94 mm. Water resistance is rated at 3 bar (30 metres / 100 feet).

Together with the bidirectional notched bezel, the circular slide rule allows pilots to perform all necessary flight calculations.

The calendar indications follow a 3-6-9 layout: date at 3 o'clock, month and leap year at 6 o'clock, and day of the week at 9 o'clock. 

 

The moonphase display appears at 12 o'clock, just above the Breitling logo.

The transparent case back reveals the automatic movement. 

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the B19 calibre features a column-wheel chronograph and a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts for leap years and varying month lengths.

In addition to rigorous independent accuracy tests to achieve COSC certification, the Caliber

B19 undergoes a 16-year aging simulation that includes, among other extreme challenges,

100,000 crown winds, 3,456,000 weight turns, and 60,000 shocks at 500G.

Designed and assembled at Breitling’s Chronometrie in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, the

Caliber B19 offers a 96-hour power reserve and requires minimal adjustments to remain accurate for a century.

The watch can be paired with a black alligator leather strap with a folding buckle, or a seven-row stainless-steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp. The lug width measures 22 mm.
