The new Panerai Luminor Destro Otto Giorni PAM01655 has been designed for “left-handed” users or, more simply, for anyone who prefers to wear the watch on the right wrist.

The timepiece is characterised by the positioning of the crown at 9 o’clock and the small seconds sub-dial at 3 o’clock. Essentially, their positions are reversed compared to the standard layout.

Water resistant to 300 metres / 1,000 feet, the 44 mm case is crafted from polished stainless steel. Only the patented crown-protecting device and the dodecagonal screwed caseback feature a brushed finish.

The raised bezel frames a black "sandwich" dial. The so-called "sandwich" structure consists of two superimposing plates, with the upper layer featuring cut out numerals and indices offering partial sight of the lower layer treated with beige Super-LumiNova.

The black hands are also filled with luminescent material for enhanced legibility in low-light conditions.

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, the hand-wound P.5000 Calibre is equipped with two spring barrels that guarantee a remarkable eight-day power reserve. A large, brushed-finish plate with diamond-polished chamfering nearly conceals the mechanism, while showcasing the variable inertia balance.

Secured by a bridge with twin supports for enhanced shock resistance, the balance oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The watch comes paired with a light brown calf strap with beige stitching, secured to the wrist by a trapezoidal steel buckle. It is delivered with an additional black rubber strap. A screw system allows for easy strap changes using the screwdriver included in the watch box.
