Longines launches Conquest Chrono Ski Edition for 2025 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships

Longines presented the Conquest Chrono Ski Edition to mark the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2025. The price of ref.L3.836.4.52.9 is €4,750

As the Official Partner of the International Ski Federation (FIS), Longines is linked with major alpine skiing events, including the upcoming FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, scheduled from 4 to 16 February 2025 in Saalbach, Austria.

To mark this prestigious biennial event, the winged-hourglass watchmaker is introducing the Conquest Chrono Ski Edition, a sport chronograph limited to 2,025 pieces.

This new model comes in a 42 mm x 14.30 mm case in stainless steel with alternating polished and satin-finished surfaces and equipped with a fixed stainless steel bezel featuring a black ceramic insert with a tachymetric scale. 

The large screw-in crown is protected by two guards that are well integrated into the case design. Water resistance is ensured up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet)

Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with multi-layer anti-reflective coating on both sides, the dial showcases an anthracite background with black subdials: small seconds at 3 o'clock, 12-hour chronograph at 6 o'clock, and 30-minute chronograph at 9 o'clock.

The silver-polished hands and overlaid hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova, emitting a blue glow in low-light conditions. For enhanced readability, the chronograph hands are highlighted in red, providing clear distinction at a glance.

Beneath the applied indexes, a snailed black ring adds depth to the design. Surrounding it, the minute track is divided into four segments to match the movement's 4 Hz frequency (28,800 vibrations per hour), allowing for precise reading when the chronograph seconds hand is stopped.

The emblem of the 48th FIS World Championships 2025, depicting a skier in action, is engraved at the center of the watch’s screw-down, angled case back. The inscriptions “SAALBACH 2025 - FIS ALPINE WORLD SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS” and “LIMITED EDITION - ONE OF 2025,” are engraved along the edge.

Powering the watch is the self-winding Calibre L898.5, a modular chronograph movement crafted from the ETA caliber A31.L01, made exclusively for Longines.

It features a silicon balance-spring, providing magnetic resistance ten times greater than the ISO 764 benchmark standard. The central oscillating mass builds a power reserve of 59 hours.

This limited edition chronograph is delivered with both a stainless steel bracelet with a triple‐security folding clasp and a black rubber strap featuring a double‐security folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system.
