Swiss brand Louis Erard is presenting the latest in its series of collaborations with renowned independent watchmakers: Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Vianney Halter II.

Vianney Halter is recognised as one of the most creative and talented watchmakers of our times and has contributed to the renewal of aesthetic and technical codes in contemporary watchmaking. His work shows deep respect for craftsmanship while making no concessions to conformism.

Inspired by Halter’s inaugural timepiece, the Antiqua from 1998, this new regulator is, in the words of the brand, “the perfect blend of Victorian industrial aesthetics and a retro-futuristic vision,” featuring red-gilded rivets reminiscent of industrial machinery, along with riveted bezel and crown.

The Louis Erard Régulateur design is a natural match for Halter’s unmistakable split-time subdials.

Measuring 43 mm x 10.95 mm, the polished and satin-brushed stainless steel case features 12 polished 5N red-gilt rivets around the bezel and is equipped with Vianney Halter’s signature crown, adorned with 24 5N red-gilt rivets, positioned at 2 o’clock.

Protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the dial is presented in two variations, each limited to only 178 pieces.

The first limited edition, ref. 85246AA03.BVA172, is only available through Louis Erard retailers and is characterised by a 5N red-gilt base, with contrasting rhodium-plated chapter ring and counter rings.

The second limited edition, ref. 85246AA02.BVA172, is a Louis Erard e-commerce exclusive. It features inverted colours, with a rhodium-plated base and contrasting 5N red-gilt chapter ring and counter rings

Both dials feature blued steel hands along with black transfers, Louis Erard logo at 2 o’clock and Vianney Halter logo at 8 o’clock. 

Finishes include polished and diamond-cut edges as well as circular and vertical satin brushing.

Engraved with the inscription 'Louis Erard x Vianney Halter Limited Edition 1 of 178', the caseback displays the movement through a transparent sapphire crystal. 

Based on a Sellita SW266-1, this automatic regulator-type calibre beats at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 38 hours. The openworked oscillating weight is enhanced by a black lacquered Louis Erard symbol.

Water-resistant to 5 bar (50 metres / 165 feet), the watches are paired with a dark brown grained calf leather strap with tone-on-tone stitching and a polished stainless steel pin buckle. 

The ergot bars facilitate swift strap changes. The lug width is 22 mm.
