IWC launches its first Portofino Chronograph 39 with stainless steel bracelet

IWC has introduced the Portofino Chronograph 39 with a stainless steel bracelet, marking the first time this model is available with this option.

Presented with a silver-plated dial, the new Portofino Chronograph 39 ref. IW391503 pairs the compact 39 mm x 13 mm case with a 5-link stainless steel bracelet alternating brushed and satin-finished surfaces. 

Adding to the timepiece's versatility, the integrated quick-change system makes it easy to change the bracelet for other options such as leather straps and adjust the look of the watch to suit any outfit or occasion. 

Protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the rhodium-plated hands and applied indices ensure excellent readability.

The IWC-manufactured chronograph Calibre 69355 enables the measurement of stop times of up to 30 minutes. These are clearly displayed in the counter at 12 o'clock, visually balanced by the small seconds counter at 6 o'clock.

Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) automatic movement is equipped with a column wheel to manage the start, stop, and reset functions with smoother transitions. 

The openworked oscillating weight and its bi-directional pawl winding system builds up a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring.

Water resistant to 50 metres / 165 feet, the new Portofino Chronograph 39 ref. IW391503 has a suggested retail price of €8,500 / US$8,400. iwc.com
