Bulgari has presented the Bvlgari Aluminium GMT x Fender Limited Edition, 1,200 pieces inspired by the Stratocaster legendary guitar. Price €4,60

Bulgari has unveiled the Bvlgari Aluminium GMT x Fender Limited Edition, a series of 1,200 pieces that replicate the original livery of the Stratocaster, the iconic guitar designed by Fender in 1954, celebrating its 70th anniversary.

Additionaly, Fender Custom Shop has crafted 70 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Bulgari Stratocaster guitars – special creations designed for collectors.

Integrating a useful and easy-to-use GMT function, the new Bvlgari Aluminium GMT x Fender Limited Edition is characterised by colours that are typical of the Stratocaster: a sunburst dial transitioning from light to dark brown, a 24-hour flange in dark brown and creamy white, rhodium-plated and polished indices and hands, reminiscent of guitar frets, and brown Bvlgari Bvlgari rubber bezel and strap.

The 24-hour flange is used to tell the time in a separate timezone in combination with the arrow-tipped GMT hand. The dark brown zone represents nighttime (18:00-6:00), while the creamy white zone indicates daytime (6:00-18:00).

All hands are highlighted with Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in low light conditions.

The central seconds hand features a creamy white tip and a matching counter-weight, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The date window is placed at 3 o’clock. The date is linked to the local time, and will be adjusted automatically when the hour hand passes midnight. 

The Aluminium GMT x Fender Limited Edition comes in a 40 mm x 9.7 mm case crafted from aluminium, enhanced by a DLC treatment for improved scratch resistance. It is equipped with the renowned rubber bezel embossed with the 14-letter signature Bvlgari Bvlgari, a flat sapphire crystal, and a non-screw-down black crown that can be used to adjust all functions (for more details, read our hands-on review of the Bulgari Aluminium GMT).

The watch is water-resistant up to a pressure of 10 ATM (approximately corresponding to a depth of 100 metres / 330 feet).

The ‘Fender’ inscription on the DLC-coated titanium case back underscores the partnership between the two super brands.

DLC, or Diamond-Like Carbon, is a type of coating known for its exceptional hardness, durability, and resistance to scratches. This treatment gives a sleek, black finish that not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also improves wear resistance. 

Behind the case back, the self-winding B192 calibre (ETA 2893-2 base) reliably operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 42 hours.

For this model, the articulated rubber strap with aluminium links is fitted with a practical velcro fastening.
