Omega unveils Seamaster Diver 300M Special Edition to celebrate the 37th America’s Cup

To celebrate its role as Official Timekeeper at the 37th America’s Cup (Aug 22-Oct 27, 2024), Omega has created the Seamaster Diver 300M America’s Cup, featuring a regatta scale and a commemorative caseback.

The watch comes in a 42 mm x 13.8 mm case crafted from stainless steel and equipped with a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel with a regatta scale, comprised of two 5-minute pre-start sections and a start section recognisable for the regatta-inspired flag. 

Featuring a conical shape, the helium valve at 10 o’clock can be operated underwater thanks to a patented technology. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 30 bar (300 metres / 1,000 feet)

Protected by a domed scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment on both sides, the white ceramic matt-finish dial is laser-engraved with waves in positive relief. 

The minute hand is highlighted in red to improve the legibility of tracked times. All hands and raised indexes are treated with Super-LumiNova, a luminescent material that glows blue in darker environments.

The central seconds chronograph hand features an America’s Cup trophy-shaped counterweight in the same blue as the Barcelona logo.

This blue logo, with “Auld Mug” and B for Barcelona, is also on the sapphire crystal caseback, which reveals the Omega’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806.

Beating at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour, this self-winding movement offers an autonomy of 55 hours. It features a free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring and it can resist magnetic fields reaching 15,000 Gauss.

The movement and the assembled watch are tested according to the Master Chronometer certification process approved by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

The watch, presented in a commemorative blue box with red stitching, is available on a stainless-steel bracelet or a blue rubber strap. Both options are equipped with Omega’s patented Quick-Change system.
