DOXA launches the SUB 300T Aristera, the “lefty” version of a diving icon

DOXA unveils the SUB 300T Aristera, its first left-handed dive watch. Featuring iconic design elements, it’s limited to 300 pcs and priced at €2,490

Marking a first in its history, DOXA has unveiled the SUB 300T Professional Aristera, the brand’s first automatic dive watch designed for left-handed users or anyone who prefers to wear the watch on the right wrist.

The name Aristera means ‘left’ in Greek, echoing the origins of the brand’s own name, ‘DOXA’, which is the Greek word for ‘Glory’.

 

Characterised by the screw-down crown on the left side of the case, the SUB 300T Aristera retains the hallmark features that made this diver's watch instantly recognisable, including the vibrant orange dial, the cushion-shaped case and the patented bezel with two separate scales. 

Measuring 42.50 mm in diameter and 14 mm of thickness, the case of the new model is crafted from 316L stainless steel and is water resistant to 120 ATM (1,200 meters / 4,000 feet)

In addition to the unidirectional rotating bezel for calculating and monitoring no-decompression dive times, the SUB 300T Aristera also features a helium release valve.

Protected by a flat sapphire crystal, the dial offers excellent readability with its large minute hand and a smaller one to indicate the hour. 

Indices and hands, including the central seconds one, are treated with a Super-LumiNova coating, very helpful during dives under low visibility conditions.  

While the crown has moved to 9 o’clock, the date window on the SUB 300T Professional Aristera remains at 3 o'clock. To achieve this, the movement had to be rotated 180 degrees inside the case, a repositioning which required several technical adjustments.

Behind a solid screw-in caseback, a Swiss automatic movement with exclusive DOXA decorations beats at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. 

The watch is delivered with both the famous ‘beads of rice’ metal bracelet fitted with a folding clasp with wetsuit extension and a practical NATO strap with 316L stainless steel buckle. The lug width is 20 mm.
