Blue ceramic and colourful bezels for the latest Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton models

Rado presented new Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton models (R32152208 and R32152209) with blue ceramic case and colourful bezels. Price €5,150

Rado has released a duo of new Captain Cook models in brightly polished blue monobloc high-tech ceramic cases, as limited editions of just 262 units each.

Measuring 43 mm x 14.6 mm, these two Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton models are equipped with unidirectional rotating bezels with polished inserts in sunshine yellow (ref. R32152208) or burnt orange (ref. R32152209). These colourful inserts carry engraved lacquered markers at each five-minute interval and a crisp triangle at 12 o’clock treated with white Super-LumiNova.

The polished navy blue ceramic screw-down crown contributes to the watch's water resistance, rated up to 30 bar (300 metres / 990 feet).

The box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both faces protects a sapphire crystal dial on which the rhodium applied indexes and the three hands, all treated with white Super-LumiNova, stand out clearly.

Through the transparent dial, it is possible to appreciate the skeletonized platine, the yellow-finished train bridge and the inner workings of the Rado calibre R808. 

Featuring an antimagnetic Nivachron hairspring, this self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 80 hours. 

The titanium caseback reveals more details of the movement, along with its oscillating weight, through a sapphire crystal porthole.

These watches are paired with matt-textured blue rubber straps fastened by a double folding clasp with a ceramic cover matching the case finish.

The new Rado Captain Cook High-Tech Ceramic Skeleton models, available with either a yellow or orange bezel insert, have a suggested retail price of €5,150 / US$4,450. rado.com
