Omega unveils the Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M Armand “Mondo” Duplantis

As a tribute to Swedish pole vaulter Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, Omega introduces a new Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M ref. 220.12.41.21.03.009. Price €7,000

On April 20th, the Swedish pole vaulter Armand “Mondo” Duplantis, the current World and Olympic champion, broke the World Record in his specialty for the 8th time in his career, setting a new height of 6.24 metres.

As a tribute to this exceptional athlete, Omega introduces a new Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M inspired by the brand ambassador. 

Crafted in the blue and yellow colours of the Swedish flag, the watch features several exclusive details celebrating Duplantis' achievements in athletics.

Measuring 41 mm x 13.2 mm, the watch is made from stainless steel and features an integrated strap made of blue rubber with yello stitching. Polished central links harmonise with the polished and brushed surfaces of the case.

The conical crown, featuring an embossed Omega symbol is screwed-in to ensure water resistance up to 15 bar (150 metres / 500 feet), 

Protected by a domed scratch‑resistant sapphire crystal with anti‑reflective treatment on both sides, the blue dial has an opaline finish with horizontal stripes. 

Yellow elements stand out prominently: the Seamaster name, the quarter-hour numbers, and most notably, the varnished central seconds hand, designed with a pole-vault-inspired shape and featuring Super-LumiNova on top to represent the grip of the pole.

The transparent sapphire caseback, with its wave-edged design, reveals the Omega Master Chronometer Calibre 8800 and its rhodium-plated finish with Geneva waves in arabesque. This advanced self-winding movement operates at 25,200 vibrations per hour (3.5 Hz) and features two barrels in series providing a 55-hour power reserve. 

The Master Chronometer certification ensures the watch meets the highest standards of quality, precision, and magnetic resistance as tested by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

To protect the watch from magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, the movement incorporates components made with antimagnetic materials, such as the silicon balance spring.
