Tissot releases the new Seastar 1000 40mm Powermatic 80

Tissot is enriching its Seastar collection with five new Seastar 1000 40 mm models, all powered by the Powermatic 80 automatic movement.

Offering water resistance up to 30 bar (300 metres / 1000 feet), these sporty timepieces are housed in 40 mm x 12.5 mm cases equipped with a screw-down crown and caseback along with a uni-directional steel bezel with a colour-printed mineral glass ring.

Topped by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coating, all dials feature a vertically brushed dial that fades to black towards the edges, creating a gradient effect.

Two models, one with a blue dial and the other with a grey one, come with stainless steel case and bracelet. A third version has a two-tone appearance, adorned with a yellow gold PVD bezel with black ring, complemented by a two-tone bracelet combining stainless steel and gold PVD elements.

The other two models offer a bold look thanks to their black PVD-coated steel case. One comes with a black tropic strap with a brushed blue dial, while the other is adorned with a brushed grey dial and a black PVD-coated bracelet matching the case.

Straps and bracelets are equipped with an interchangeable system that makes it easy to swap between a variety of compatible Tissot straps (the lug width is 20 mm).

The movement of choice for these five Tissot Seastar 1000 40 mm references is the Powermatic 80 Calibre operating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hours). 

Visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, this self-winding movement features a Tissot-skeletonized rotor that builds up a power reserve of up to 80 hours.

Thanks to its Nivachron balance spring, it is particularly resistant to magnetic fields.
