Inspired by the elegant and minimalist watches produced by Vacheron Constantin in the 1950s, the Patrimony collection has celebrated elegance and style since 2004.

This year,  the Geneva-based Maison is enriching the Patrimony line with three new models featuring a new sunburst antique silver-toned dial, new strap colours, a customisable caseback and a reduced size for two models. The design maintains its understated and timeless appeal while embracing a distinctly contemporary aesthetic.

The first model, the Patrimony moon phase retrograde date, ref. 4010U/000G-H070, offers two refined complications and pairs the 42.5 mm x 9.7 mm white gold case with an olive-green alligator strap.

The first complication is a moon-phase indication in an aperture at 6 o'clock, graduated to correspond precisely to the moon's cycle of 29 days, 12 hours and 45 minutes. This precision moon phase requires just one correction every 122 years. The second consists of a retrograde date display in the upper part of the dial, a Vacheron Constantin technical and style signature. 

The sunburst-finished convex dial is adorned in a newly introduced old-silver-toned hue, contrasting nicely with the pink gold of the Patrimony collection’s characteristic slim hands, hour-markers and circular ‘pearl’ minutes track composed by 48 polished 18K gold pearls.

Through the sapphire crystal caseback, the in-house Calibre 2460 R31L displays the emblem of the Maison: a Maltese cross whose shape has inspired that of the openworked 18K gold oscillating weight. This 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations/hour) self-winding movement offers 40 hours of power reserve. 

Two Patrimony manual-winding models have also been released. They feature a new 39 mm diameter and are available in white gold (ref. 1410U/000G-H017) or pink gold (ref. 1410U/000R-H018). The  strap colours are olive-green for the white gold or azure blue for the pink gold.

At the heart of the case beats the manual-winding Calibre 1440. Developed and manufactured by Vacheron Constantin, this 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) movement is just 2.6 mm thick and endowed with a 42-hour power reserve.

These models feature a closed caseback in order to offer the possibility to personalise the timepiece with an engraving.
