Introducing the new Breitling Navitimer Automatic 41 and Navitimer GMT 41

Breitling continues the revamping of the Navitimer line with the new Navitimer Automatic 41 and Navitimer GMT 41. Prices from €5,600

When Breitling introduced the Navitimer in 1952, it quickly became a hit among airline pilots in the growing field of civil aviation. Equipped with a circular slide rule, it empowered pilots to perform vital calculations like rate of climb and fuel consumption.

Since then, the Navitimer has maintained its status as Breitling's best-selling line. In 2022, Breitling embarked on a redesign of the Navitimer series, commencing with the original chronograph model.

Now, the revamp continues with the introduction of two new variations: the three-hand Navitimer Automatic 41 and the Navitimer GMT 41, each offered in a versatile 41 mm x 11.65 mm size.

The Automatic boasts a clean dial, while the GMT features a central 24-hour scale, ensuring the intricate slide rule remains prominent while refining the overall look.

Characterising the collection, Breitling incorporated a notched bezel, and alternating polished and brushed finishes that play with light dynamically. 

Protected by cambered sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment on both sides, the dials are available in various colours including black, blue, silver, ice blue, and green, encased in stainless steel or 18k red gold, and a two-tone variant for the Automatic. 

The full-gold versions carry the Origins label, indicating responsibly mined gold in line with the Swiss Better Gold Association’s environmental and social standards.

The Navitimer Automatic is driven by Breitling's Caliber 17, a 4 Hz self-winding movement that offers a power reserve of around 38 hours and comes with a COSC certification as a chronometer. 

For the GMT models the movement of choice is the COSC-certified and self-winding Caliber 32, operating at a frequency of 4 Hz  with a power reserve of 42 hours. Both movements are hidden behind a solid caseback. 

Water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet, the watches can be paired with alligator leather straps or bracelets with a butterfly clasp. The lug width measures 22 mm.

Prices for the Breitling Navitimer Automatic in stainless steel with a strap start at Euro 5,600, while the Navitimer GMT in stainless steel with a strap starts at Euro 5,950. Opting for the steel bracelet adds €300 to the price. breitling.com
