Blancpain launches new 42 mm Fifty Fathoms Automatique models in titanium and red gold

Blancpain introduces four new, non-limited 42 mm Fifty Fathoms Automatique timepieces in red gold and titanium. Prices from €18,300

After premiering its first case featuring a 42 mm diameter in last year's limited edition Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1, Blancpain introduces four new Fifty Fathoms models in red gold and titanium of the same size.

Part of the current collection, the new, non-limited Fifty Fathoms Automatique 42 mm timepieces are available in a wide range of strap or bracelet combinations for a total of 14 new references.

All models are driven by the Calibre 1315, the manufacture's self-winding movement  launched in 2007 with the new Fifty Fathoms generation and also featured in the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1. 

Operating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the high-performance Calibre 1315 provides a remarkable 5-day power reserve thanks to its three-barrel architecture.

Equipped with a stop-seconds function, it enables extremely precise time-setting. This calibre. entirely decorated in keeping with Haute Horlogerie traditions, has an 18K red gold oscillating weight – also decorated and sporting an NAC coating – whose design is inspired by the rotor of the historical 1953 timepiece.

Retaining the pleasing proportions of their predecessor, the new 42 mm Fifty Fathoms Automatique watches are available in red gold for a sophisticated look or grade 23 titanium for a sportier appearance.

Grade 23 titanium, known for its purity, is lightweight, scratch-resistant, and corrosion-resistant, making it ideal for sport watches. 

The 42 mm case, with a thickness of 14.30 mm, is equipped with the signature unidirectional rotating bezel with a domed sapphire inlay.

The dial, protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, comes in black or blue with a sunburst motif. It features vintage-look luminescent hands and block-type hour-markers. 

Water resistant to 30 bar (300 metres / 1,000 feet), the new models come with a wide choice of straps in matching colours, ranging from sail-canvas to NATO and a Tropic textured rubber iteration inspired by the 1953 model. Additionally, a titanium bracelet option complements the range dedicated to the titanium case.
