Louis Erard - Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki with Le Régulateur Tourbillon

Louis Erard presented Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki including Le Régulateur Tourbillon, a first for the brand. Details and prices
Following their successful collaborations in 2021 and 2022, Swiss watchmaker Louis Erard and French designer Alain Silberstein have joined forces once again to create a new set of three colourful watches, which include a tourbillon, and not just an "ordinary" one but a tourbillon coupled with a regulator display.

Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki

More in detail, the new Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki includes La Semaine Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki, Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki, and Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki.

Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki

The first two models are available for purchase individually, in a limited edition of 178 pieces, while the tourbillon is only available as part of a triptych box, limited to 28 pieces.

All of them are characterised by the khaki colour - khaki on the dials, khaki on the straps - and housed in a 40 mm x 11.80 mm case featuring a microblasted Grade 2 titanium frame fixed on a vertical sidebar called “brancard” in polished Grade 5 titanium and flanked by a signature conical crown stamped with the Louis Erard symbol. Waterproofness is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 bars (100 metres / 330 feet).

The straps are made of special nylon and are equipped with a microblasted grade 2 titanium, hook-and-loop fastener system for quick adjustment, as well as functional catch spring bars allowing the strap to be changed quickly.

The first model - La Semaine Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki réf. 75357TT06.BTT89 -features a Smiley weekly calendar, Alain Silberstein's emblematic calendar where every day has its own face. In fact, the days do not have names, but rather playful smileys – small, stylised faces symbolising different moods. From grey Monday to radiant Sunday (or vice versa), depending on the mood of the wearer.

La Semaine is powered by a customised automatic Sellita SW220-1 calibre that is visible through the transparent porthole of the case back. Running at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), it offers a 38-hour power reserve built by the special openworked oscillating weight with a black lacquered Louis Erard symbol.

The second timepiece - Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki réf. 85358TT06.BTT89 - shows the distinctive traits of Alain Silberstein: a large white arrow hand for the central minutes, a red triangle for the hours at 12 o'clock, and a small yellow serpentine hand for the seconds at 6 o'clock.

The self-winding regulator-type Sellita SW266-1 calibre is personalised with an openworked oscillating weight with black lacquered Louis Erard symbol. It operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and has an autonomy of 38 hours.

La Semaine Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki and Le Régulateur Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki are priced at CHF 4,000 each.

The third piece - Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki ref. 89356TT06.BTT89 - represents a new summit for Louis Erard as it is the first time that the Swiss brand has presented a tourbillon.

Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki ref. 89356TT06.BTT89

Invented by Abraham Louis Breguet to compensate the effects of gravitational forces on the accuracy of a timepiece, a tourbillon mechanism places the regulating organ (the sprung balance) and the escapement inside a mobile carriage that rotates around itself and distributes the oscillations of the balance wheel over 360 degrees.

Appropriately, in this model the tourbillon is paired with a regulator, a signature of the brand.

Showcased through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the BCP T02 tourbillon regulator movement is manufactured by the Swiss atelier of Olivier Mory of BCP Tourbillons in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Beating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), it offers a remarkable power reserve of approximately 100 hours.

Le Régulateur Tourbillon Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki ref. 89356TT06.BTT89

In line with Louis Erard's vision to make the inaccessible accessible, the price of Le Régulateur Tourbillon is very appealing considering that each of the Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein Khaki Triptych, containing the three new creations, retails for CHF 22,222, a fraction of what most tourbillon watches normally cost on the market. But, as mentioned above, only 28 tryptich sets will be produced. louiserard.com

  1. I thought it was 78 in triptych... Also there is some irregularity in the photos presented in the article. some of them show the tourb with a smooth crown and others with a notched crown. WTF?! By the way that smooth crown is a nightmare to operate. I have a previous edition of this collab and hate winding the watch via that crown.

    1. We have contacted Louis Erard and they have explained that one picture had a prototype crown for the tourbillon model. We have now updated it. We confirm that , for that model, the crown is notched.
