Hublot and Samuel Ross presented the new 2023 version of the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A Samuel Ross. Ref. 428.NX.0101.RX.SRA23 is priced at €132,000

Hublot and the acclaimed British designer and artist Samuel Ross have expanded their collaborative efforts with the introduction of the new Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A Samuel Ross, following the inaugural model unveiled in 2022.

Building on that design, Samuel Ross and his design studio SR-A transformed the watch case into a gray ensemble that can be paired with one of three easily interchangeable rubber straps in vibrant green, black, or white. 

In line with the overall monochrome aesthetic, the crown is overmolded with gray rubber, while the tourbillon bridge now appears in a neutral shade.

To assert its industrial appearance, Ross has opted to attire all the watch case components in shiny micro-blasted titanium, extending this to the clasp which also features a rough laser engraving of the Hublot logo. 

Hyper-technical elements are juxtaposed with traditional ones to align with Hublot's Art of Fusion concept. 

Ross uses transparency by incorporating openings in the structure and pays homage to the origins of Fusion by blending rubber with engineered metal.

The recurring motif of the timepiece is the hexagonal honeycomb shape and its perfect six equal sides, the dominant governing pattern in the natural world. 

This efficient shape, used on the sapphire dial, case, caseback and strap, can be repeated without gaps or overlapping.

The titanium plates have been polished, brushed, hammered and perforated in order to create a lean and imposing silhouette inducing a sense of motion.

Measuring 44 mm x 13.75 mm, the watch is water resistant up to a pressure of 3 bar (30 metres / 100 feet).

The Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross is driven by the accuracy of the 282-component Manufacture self-winding HUB6035 calibre, beating at a frequency 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a 72-hour power reserve.
