German watchmaker Hanhart is launching today the Primus Fly Navy, a robust and reliable chronograph designed with the needs of German Navy pilots in mind and presented in two variations: in stainless steel or in black PVD-coated steel.

The imposing 44 mm x 15 mm case of fhe Primus Fly Navy features flexible lugs, greatly enhancing the wearing comfort. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 bar (100 metres / 330 feet).

The stainless steel case is paired with a blue textile strap while the black version comes with a matching black textile strap.

Distinctive details of many Hanhart models, this chronograph features a red push-button in anodised aluminum at 4 o-clock and a fluted, non rotatable bezel with a red marking at 12 o’clock.

Protected by an anti-reflective convex sapphire glass, the striking blue dial ensures perfect readability by day and night thanks to the large skeletonised hands, the hour markers and the Arabic '12', all generously coated with Super-LumiNova SLN C3 GL.

The central chronograph seconds hand features the trident of the sea god Poseidon on its counterweight. 

To complete the unique details of the limited edition marine watch, the "Marinefliegerlogo“ is featured on the navy blue dial and on the screw-in crown.

The crests of the MFG3 “Graf Zeppelin“ and MFG5 squadrons are printed on the sapphire crystal of the casebacks and can be individually selected.  

In the case of the MFG3 crest, the affiliation to the marine pilots is symbolized by the wing and the anchor in the center. The five stars stand for the five virtues: loyalty, courage, readiness, reliability and endurance. 

The MFG5 coat of arms includes water, sea eagle, anchor and wing as elements. The head of the sea eagle is meant to preserve sovereignty over the airspace above sea.

Featuring a skeletonised rotor, the movement is based on the Sellita SW 510 with Hanhart modifications. This self-winding calibre beats at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 48 hours.

Limited to 150 pieces, the new Hanhart Primus Fly Navy in stainless steel retails at Euro 2,690 while the version with black PVD coated case is priced at Euro 3,190. Prices include 19% VAT. Members of the Naval Air Command / Naval Air Squadron are entitled to a -25% discount. hanhart.com
