Seiko released the Prospex Alpinist Automatic GMT, a dual time model characterised by a vintage design inspired to the 1959 Alpinist, Seiko's first watch.

The watch comes in a 39.5 mm x 13.6 mm round stainless steel case with Seiko's Super Hard Coating and a screw-down crown that ensures water resistance to 200 meters / 660 feet. 

Protected by a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal, the dial is available in blue (ref. SPB377) or black (ref. SPB379).  It features a bidirectional internal bezel with cardinal points. The hands and the hour markers are coated with Lumibrite for improved legibility in darker environments.

The red-tipped GMT hand rotates around the dial every 24 hours, precisely indicating the time in the second time zone on the fixed bezel with a 24-hour scale. 

Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal case back, the automatic Seiko in-house calibre 6R54 operates at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a power reserve of 3 days. 

Paired with a black or blue leather strap with a steel three-fold clasp, the Seiko Prospex Alpinist Automatic GMT is available for pre-order, with deliveries starting in October 2023, at the price of Euro 1,200 / US$ 1,150. seikowatches.com
