Continuing this tradition, Maurice Lacroix proudly presents an exceptional creation housed within a sapphire crystal case for the upcoming Only Watch 2023 auction, scheduled to take place on November 5th in Geneva.

The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Only Watch 2023 is showcased within a 43 mm by 11 mm case crafted entirely from sapphire — an unprecedented feat for the Maison. The use of the transparent material extends to both the bezel and crown. 

The intricate process of crafting a sapphire crystal case involves extensive hours of meticulous polishing. Beyond its crystal-clear purity, sapphire boasts remarkable hardness, measuring 9 on the Mohs scale, surpassed only by the diamond which scores a perfect 10.

With the aim of fully capitalizing on sapphire's transparent attributes, Maurice Lacroix has outfitted this charity timepiece with a skeleton movement, the hand-wound Manufacture Calibre ML330, allowing for captivating views from the front to the rear.

A rich assortment of blue, red, orange, and green hues are harmoniously juxtaposed, resulting in a vibrant rainbow-themed palette that corresponds with the movement plate.

The off-center anthracite dial showcases the hours and minutes, complemented by a sunray motif. The Maurice Lacroix name and M-logo are aligned with twelve indexes, each accentuated by Super-LumiNova, and each presented in a distinct hue, once again embracing the rainbow theme.

Beneath the aforementioned off-center dial, a small seconds display resides, artfully engaging with perspective to enhance the model's visual allure.
