In 1967, DOXA introduced the SUB concept, pioneering mainstream professional diving watches. Its dual bezel scales were inspired by US Navy tables for safe ascents. Recognizable by its orange dial, the SUB adorned the wrists of numerous divers, including the renowned scuba pioneer Jacques Cousteau.

Over the years, we have witnessed several variations of the iconic diver's watch. More recently, noteworthy mentions include the SUB 300 COSC collection, models crafted from forged carbon, a camo version echoing the brand ́s Swiss Army connection, and the vintage patina aesthetic of the SUB 300T Clive Cussler special edition.

The Swiss brand now presents the SUB 300β Sharkhunter, a model fusing a black ceramic case with 18K 3N gold bezel and crown, achieving a stunning black & gold look that blends resilience with urban refinement. 

The symbol β symbolizes 'beta,' signifying a departure from the ordinary. In this iteration, DOXA masterfully integrates contradictions — dark and luminous, matte and glossy, bold and discreet — remaining faithful to the brand's design code.

Yet it goes beyond mere color, material, and texture recombination. In fact, DOXA undertook a redesign to achieve a sleeker profile, resulting in a mere 11.95 mm thickness (13.65 mm for the SUB 300T) and a lower bezel height, reduced by 0.5 mm compared to the SUB 300T.

The 42.5 mm case is equipped with a pressure-resistant titanium container to protect the movement and a a screw-down crown to ensure water-resistance up to a pressure of 30 bar (equivalent to 300 metres / 990 feet). The case back, also screw-down, is crafted from titanium.

The patented DOXA unidirectional rotating bezel indicates dive time (in minutes) and depth (in feet) for no-stop dives. 

The COSC-certified Swiss automatic movement operates at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and boasts a power reserve of 38 hours.

Protected by a flat sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, the matte grained dial is characterised by black-on-black markings, 18K gold-plated indexes highlighted with Super-LumiNova, and black hands, also luminescent.

The DOXA SUB 300β Sharkhunter comes on a black FKM rubber strap, equipped with a black PVD folding clasp with ratcheting wetsuit extension and an embossed ‘DOXA Fish’ symbol. The lug width is 20 mm.
