Parmigiani Fleurier presented the new Tonda PF Sport Automatic, either in steel or gold, with prices starting from CHF 19,500

Part of Parmigiani Fleurier’s PF collection, the new Tonda PF Sport Automatic, either in steel or gold, is distinguished by the other models of the line for a number of details, mostly related to bezel, dial and strap, that emphasise the casual sporting-chic style.

The knurled bezel comprises 160 incisions, rather than the 225 incisions on the bezel of the regular Tonda PF collection, creating a bolder play of light and reflection that underlines its sportier character. 

The silver dial is decorated with a hand-guilloché ‘triangular nail’ pattern instead of the finer Grain d’Orge pattern seen on the regular version. Guillochage is a traditional decorative technique to create engraved patterns that beautifully play with light. The applied hour markers are coated with black Super-LumiNova. The logo and date window are both very discreet: the small PF medallion is positioned at 12 o'clock and the date window is at 6 o’clock.

The textured strap is Cordura-treated rubber, handcrafted and stitched; its attachment point between the lugs is so seamless that it gives the impression of being integrated into the case. 

Available in stainless steel or rose gold with polished and satin-brushed finishes and matching hands and indexes, the new Tonda PF  Sport Automatic measures 41mm x 9.8mm and features a screwed-in crown that contributes to guarantee water resistance up to 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet).

Visible through the sapphire caseback, the manufacture Calibre PF770 is equipped with a double barrel providing a power reserve of 60 hours. 

Beating at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800 vibration per hour), this sophisticated self-winding movement is meticulously hand- finished, with bevelled edges and Côtes de Genève decoration, and features a skeletonised winding rotor in 22-carat pink gold.
