The Alpine Eagle Cadence 8HF by Chopard combines the lightness of its titanium case and bracelet with the precision of one of the most advanced movements from Chopard’s workshops, the Calibre 01.12-C operating at an impressive frequency of 8 Hz (57,600 vibrations per hour), meaning twice as fast as a standard automatic movement. 

Crafted from a Grade 5 titanium alloy (titanium, aluminium and vanadium), this distinctive model measures 41 mm x 9.75 mm and offers water resistance up to a pressure of 10 ATM (approximately 100 metres / 330 feet). 

Bezel, case middle and wide bracelet links are satin-brushed. The central cap of these links is polished, as are the case bevels while the eight screws featuring slots are set at a tangent to the bezel circle. The triple folding clasp is equipped with steel blades and safety pushers.

The Pitch Black dial is marked with the so-called "eagle iris" pattern. The orange arrow-shaped sweep-seconds hand with its eagle’s feather-shaped counterweight, as well as the matching railway-track minutes circle, enhance the dynamic look of the watch. 

The applied baton-type hour-markers and 12 o’clock in Roman numerals, just like the rhodium-plated baton-type hours and minutes hands, are painted with Grade X1 Super-LumiNova. 

The inscriptions "8 Hz Chronometer" beneath the Chopard name and the orange arrow-shaped logo at 6 o'clock remark the high-frequency property of the Chopard Calibre 01.12-C.

This self-winding movement offers 60 hour of power reserve, a remarkable degree of autonomy generally incompatible with high frequencies, and is certified as a 'Chronometer' by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). 

Lightweight and self-lubricating monocrystalline silicon is used for the pallet-lever, the escape-wheel and the impulse-pin: the key components that are subject to high friction, which is thus reduced to a minimum.
