The Cyrus Klepcys DICE Lime Carbon introduces two firsts for the brand: a carbon bezel which lights up in the dark and an integrated bracelet. Price.
Swiss manufacture Cyrus added a new variation to its Klepcys DICE (Double Independent Chronograph Evolution) line that introduces two complete firsts for the brand: an innovative carbon bezel which lights up in the dark thanks to the inclusions of luminescent material, and their first integrated titanium bracelet, offered as an alternative to the typical Cordura fabric strap.
Joining the first edition launched in 2021, the DICE Lime and the Racing version, the new Klepcys DICE Lime Carbon combines its striking design with a highly sophisticated double chronograph complication capable of measuring two-time intervals independently or in synchrony, both of which can be read off at a glance thanks to a two-tone colour scheme.
The 42 mm x 16.5 mm cushion-shaped case features two symmetrical crowns at 3 and 9 o'clock equipped with a pusher that sets the three chronograph functions (start/stop/reset). The crown at 3 o’clock also winds the movement and adjusts the time. Decorated with the brand's helix logo, they are distinguished by either a green or yellow anodised aluminium ring to instantly recognize which of the two chronograph mechanisms they activate.
The choice of Grade 5 titanium makes this case very comfortable on the wrist, due to its light weight and ergonomic design. Its dynamic lines are highlighted by the alternation of polished, satin-brushed and sandblasted surfaces. Water-resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet).
The ultra-light bezel is obtained by layering carbon fibre and then machining it, a process which makes the surface of each bezel always look different. The inclusions of luminescent material which lights up in the dark adds a unique characteristic to this model.
The 3D architecture of the open-worked dial showcases many details of the movement including wheels, levers and the two column wheels, in green and yellow lacquer, respectively placed at 12 and 6 o'clock.
At 3 o'clock, the 30-minute chronograph counter is equipped with two vertically aligned hands, also in green and yellow lacquer.
The same colour scheme is used for the two central seconds hands and for the 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock. Thanks to the contrasting colours, the readability of the two elapsed times is facilitated.
These two hands differ in length because they track the seconds on a slightly convex flange printed with two parallel scales graduated every 5 seconds and picked out in green and yellow. The longer green central seconds hand measures time on the outermost scale and returns to zero at 12 o'clock; the shorter yellow hand tracks the innermost yellow scale and returns to zero at 6 o'clock.
The small seconds are placed at 9, with an original hand that recalls the Maison’s logo: a three-armed helix with a luminescent tip.
The outer sapphire crystal ring is anti-reflective and features Arabic numerals in relief with white Super-LumiNova that emits a blue glow.
Sealed with customised screws with the Maison's three-armed helix logo, the transparent caseback showcases the meticulously finished CYR718 automatic calibre and its open-worked monobloc rotor, engraved with the motto "The Conquest of Innovation" and adorned with an 18k 4N gold helix.
This mechanism requires two mainplates on which the additional module for the two independent chronographs, comprising 218 components, is mounted. With 443 components in total, the mechanism beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour with an autonomy of 55 hours.
The perfectly integrated bracelet, also made of Grade 5 titanium, is mainly satin-brushed with polished hexagonal central links and it is secured to the wrist by a triple folding clasp customised with the Maison's logo. A double folding clasp equips the Cordura fabric strap.
The new Klepcys DICE Lime Carbon by Cyrus is available in two limited editions: 50 pieces with green Cordura fabric strap (ref. 539.508.TC.B) and 50 pieces with titanium bracelet (ref. 539.508.TCM.B), with prices of Euro 48,700 and Euro 50,300, respectively. cyrus-watches.ch
