MeisterSinger - Bell Hora in medium blue and gold

Meistersinger, the master of single-hand watches, is launching today a new variation of the Bell Hora characterised by an elegant dial in medium blue with numerals and the bell symbol highlighted in gold.

Introduced in 2021 (you can read our hands-on review here), the Bell Hora offers a“Sonnerie au passage” complication, one that it is generally found on pretty expensive timepieces. It is not by chance that the German watchmaker created a slogan for this timepiece: "the hour strikes for everyone".

Exactly on the hour, the watch produces a friendly chime, discreetly alerting the wearer to the passing of time without having to look at the dial. A single strike tells the wearer that a new hour has just begun, just a gentle reminder that does not interrupt the flow of time. You can listen its sound in this short Instagram clip.

Over a period of 60 minutes, the movement’s module gathers the energy for a precise, carefully measured chime. The device strikes the sound fork located behind the dial exactly on the hour. 

The pusher at 2 o'clock makes it possible to disable the chime so that no sound will be produced when the wearer asks for silence. A black marking shows at a glance whether the watch is going to chime on the hour or remain silent.

Framed by a 43 mm stainless steel case alternating polished and satin brushed surfaces, the dial is decorated by a spiral that suggests the flow of time.

The large single hand sweeps over the display divided by 144 markers, each representing 5 minutes, with golden double digit numerals to mark each hour.

Powered by the proprietary module and visible through the 6 screws exhibition back, the 4 HZ (28,800 vibrations per hour) automatic movement offers a power reserve of 38 hours.
