In 2022, Panerai and Brabus, a world renowned luxury mobility brand based in Germany, started a partnership which produced the Submersible S Brabus Blue Shadow Edition, the collaboration's first timepiece. 

The two companies are now presenting their latest creation, the Submersible S Brabus Verde Militare Edition PAM01283. This model shares a range of key features introduced by its predecessor while differing for the use of new materials and a completely reimagined signature design.

Produced in a limited run of 200 pieces, this edition features a 47 mm case composed of Carbotech, a composite material first used in watchmaking by Panerai that is lighter than steel or titanium and very resistant to corrosion. Even the unidirectional rotating bezel used to calculate immersion time is crafted from this innovative material.

Accents in military green also distinguish this reference; the subtle hue appears on the hands, rehaut, rubberized crown, AM/PM indicator and the small seconds sub-dial. The presence of the Brabus logo on the dial and on the movement lever remarks the collaborative character of the watch.

The watch is is powered by the P.4001/S caliber, a skeletonized movement based on the P.4000 caliber with two spring barrels that guarantee a three-day power reserve whose indicator appears on the reverse of the case. The bridges and plates have been winnowed to their barest elements to expose the workings of the movement making the the watch notably lightweight. 

The patented polarized date display offers a view of the date indication only through the opening at 3 o’clock, without revealing the rest of the date wheel or concealing the workings of the movement. The off-centered oscillating weight is made of high-density tungsten, enabling the movement and therefore the watch itself to be much thinner and lighter.

Water-resistant to 30 bar (~ 300 meters / 1,000 feet), the Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Verde Militare Edition PAM01283 features two straps, a black bi-material version composed of calf leather melded with a rubber base and a second in military green rubber.
