French watchmaker Ralf Tech presented The Beast, one of the few diver's watches offering a waterproofness tested at 4,000 metres under static conditions and certified at 3,000 metres under real conditions. This is an exceptional performance: just consider that only 3 diver's watches produced in series have reached or exceeded 3,682 metres, the average depth of the oceans.

The Beast comes in a 47.7 mm case, available in 316L stainless steel or black-PVD steel, which is only 17 mm, a record considering the resistance to pressure proposed. 

With this model, Ralf Tech inaugurates the new "Diamond Shape" professional rotating bezel studied in cooperation with professional divers to guarantee a perfect grip in most conditions. Unidirectional and graduated over 60 minutes, it rotates in 120 clicks and is equipped with a matte ceramic insert, making it almost insensitive to scratches.

Protected by the thickest anti-scratch sapphire crystal on the market for a production watch with a thickness of 6 mm, the dial is made of a 95% black base with a matte finish on which hollowed indices contain a large quantity of "Old Radium" Super-LumiNova. 

The large hour and minute hands, as well as the indexes in classic scuba diving shapes - triangle, circles and rectangles - allow instant and reliable time reading, thus avoiding any risk of error for divers under water.

The Beast is powered by the RTM001 mechanical calibre manufactured in France by Pequignet. 

Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), this self-winding movement offers a power reserve of 77 hours and features a "stop-second" system for precise time setting.

The Beast features a caseback with an integral "encapsulation" system which allows the back of the watch to be sealed to the case for optimal water resistance and avoid the need for a helium valve for saturation dives, a solution that weakens the cases.

In order to secure the maintenance of the watch, only Ralf Tech has the specific tools to open and close the caseback, thus guaranteeing the original watertightness, revision after revision.

Matched to wide straps held in place by anti-pull-out threaded rods, The Beast by Ralf Tech has a price of Euro 6,800 in stainless steel or Euro 7,000 in black-PVD steel. Each version will be produced in a limited series of 77 pieces. ralftech.com
