Maurice Lacroix presented a new version of its Aikon Master Grand Date, a model that combines the mechanical virtuosity characterising the Masterpiece collection with a contemporary style.

Dressed in black with white tones, the new Aikon Master Grand Date Black comes in an imposing 45 mm stainless steel case with black DLC (Diamond-Like-Carbon) treatment. Its lines are highlighted by the alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. 

Characterised by its six polished arms, the bezel frames a grained dial that offers a clear view of the movement's balance wheel and other movement components.

The hours and minutes are shown on an off-centre dial enriched with Clous de Paris. A small seconds sub-dial is positioned adjacent to it, at 6 o'clock. At 10 o’clock, a double window displays the date of the month. The date window has the same shape as the bezel’s arms, a confirmation of the level of attention that the brand pays to details.

More elements of the self-winding manufacture ML331 calibre, including the openworked, brushed and snailed rotor, are revealed through the sapphire crystal caseback. Beating at the frequency of 2.5 Hz (18,000 vibrations per hour), it offers about 50 hours of power reserve. 

The watch is matched to a black rubber strap that features the brand’s name presented in relief and delivered with a second strap made from synthetic leather with textile effect. Thanks to the proprietary Easy Strap Exchange system, switching from one strap to another takes just few seconds and without the need for tools.
