Maurice Lacroix is unveiling today the new Pontos S Chronograph, a refined chronograph endowed with a three-counter layout, day and date indications, and a scratch-resistant ceramic bezel.

Offering water resistance to 10 ATM (100 metres / 330 feet), the new model comes in a 43 mm x 15 mm stainless steel case alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces to highlight the design. The elongated pushpieces and the distinctive double-stepped lugs are typical design elements of the Pontos line. 

The ceramic bezel is equipped with a tachymeter, a function that allows the wearer to determine the speed of an object over a known distance. 

The sandblasted dial is offered in a choice of two colours: silvery white or dark blue. To guarantee optimal readability even in darker environments, the openworked hour and minute hands and the small rectangles positioned between the applied indexes and the minute track are coated with Super-LumiNova.

At first glance, the dial appears to have just two counters, arranged along a north-south axis. However, a closer examination reveals a small seconds display at 9 o’clock and a day and date display to visually balance it at 3 o'clock.

The 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock and the 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o'clock feature sandblasted centres with snailed frames.

The transparent sapphire crystal caseback showcases the ML112 calibre finished with a combination of Côtes de Genève, perlage and sunbrush decorations.

Beating at a frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this self-winding movement offers 42 hours of power reserve.

The watch can be matched to a colour co-ordinated, M-branded nylon strap with tone-on-tone stitching or to a 3-rows steel bracelet. Thanks to the EasyChange system, it is possible to to swap the strap or bracelet for an alternative without the need for tools.
