Breguet - New Classique Calendar 7337

Together with the Classique Dame 8068 that we presented earlier today, Breguet is introducing the new Classique Calendar 7337, a contemporary interpretation of a model that well represents the aesthetics of the brand.

Available in 18K white or rose gold, the new Classique Calendar 7337 comes in a perfectly proportioned 39 mm x 9.95 mm round case with fluted sides and water resistant to 30 metres / 100 feet.

The off-centred dial is adorned with a very fine Clous de Paris hobnail guilloché pattern hand-engraved on a rose engine by the in-house artisans. The outer dial features a circular barleycorn motif. 

The hours, minutes and seconds are indicated by the traditional blued steel open-tipped Breguet hands. The date and day are displayed through broad windows at 2 and 10 o'clock, respectively. 

At 12 o'clock we find the moon phase aperture displaying a hand-hammered gold moon and the sky coated with a blue lacquer composed of spangles subtly revealing the stars depending on the angle from which the timepiece is viewed. 

On the back, the sapphire crystal showcases the extra-thin hand-decorated Calibre 502, one of Breguet’s thinnest movements at just 2.4 mm thick. To achieve this outstanding result, Breguet used an open barrel that leaves the spring visible and an offset gold rotor, engine-turned by hand. The other components are graced with chamfered finishes and a Côtes de Genève motif.

The non-magnetic properties of the silicon balance spring enhance the chronometric reliability of the movement that beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) with an autonomy of 45 hours.
