Nomos Glashütte is introducing today three new versions of their successful Ahoi Atlantic model.

The Ahoi Atlantic ref. 557 and Ahoi Atlantic Date ref. 558 come in 40.3 x 10.6 mm stainless steel cases and only differs for the presence or absence of a date display at 6 o'clock.

The round bipartite case is characterised by the guards protecting the screw-down crown at 3 o'clock which contributes to guarantee water resistance up to 20 ATM (200 metres / 660 feet) thus making the watch suitable for diving. 

Protected by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating inside and out, the atlantic blue dial offers excellent readability thanks to contrasting indexes/numerals and rhodium-plated hands, all enhanced by Super-Luminova that glows in green in darker environments.

The red seconds hand at 6 o'clock and the sand-coloured hour markers add sportiness to the ensemble.

 

Fixed with six screws, the transparent sapphire crystal caseback reveals the automatic Nomos caliber DUW 5001 or DUW 5101 which just adds the date complication. Beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offering 42 hours of power reserve, these movements are equipped with a stop-seconds mechanism and the proprietary Nomos swing system adjusted according to chronometer standards. 

The Ahoi Atlantic ref. 557 and Ahoi Atlantic Date ref. 558 have price of Euro 3,140 / US$ 4,060 and Euro 3,620 / US$ 4,660, respectively.

The third model, the Ahoi neomatik Atlantic ref. 567, is housed in a reduced stainless steel case measuring 36.3 mm x 9.6 mm but still offering the same performance in terms of water resistance and robustness. 

As its name suggests, this version is powered by the entirely in-house developed and manufactured neomatik calibre DUW 3001, a self-winding movement which is particularly efficient and slim (just 3.2 mm). 

Beating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vph), it offers remarkable features including decentralised seconds, a stop-seconds mechanism, bidirectional winding motor and incabloc shock protection. The power reserve is up to 43 hours. The excellent finishes include Glashütte ribbing, perlage and tempered blue screws.

All the new Ahoi Atlantic models can be matched to either a waterproof textile blue-black strap or one of the comfortable Nomos Sport steel bracelets secured to the wrist by a deployant clasp.
