Following the launch in September 2021 of the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor, a luxury steel wristwatch defining a new design code for the brand, Parmigiani Fleurier is now enriching the Tonda PF collection with a new model featuring a simple yet sophisticated mechanical complication.

As its name suggests, the Tonda PF GMT Rattrapante offers a GMT function that makes it possible to display the time in a second time zone using a simple-to-use mechanism in line with the understated nature of the timepiece.

This complication features two superimposed hour hands: one in rhodium-plated gold and the other in rose gold. Pressing the pusher at 8 o'clock causes the upper rhodium-plated gold hand dedicated to "local time" to jump one hour forward, thereby revealing the rose gold hand which displays the "home time", the time in the wearer’s place of residence.

When the second timezone information is no longer required, pressing the crown-integrated rose gold push button repositions the rhodium-plated hand on top of the rose gold hand in the same manner as a split-seconds chronograph hand. 

This flyback function is achieved through the integration of a sophisticated mechanism. This way, the wearer can fully appreciate the fine barleycorn guilloché pattern of the "Milano Blue" dial without the "distraction" of the additional indication when this is not needed.

The 40 mm x 10.7 mm case is made of polished and satin-finished stainless steel with a platinum 950 knurled bezel. The teardrop-shaped lugs extend the case harmoniously integrating the refined polished and satin-finished stainless steel bracelet secured to the wrist by a double folding clasp.

The sapphire crystal caseback showcases the beautiful finishes and the 22ct rose gold micro-rotor with Grain d'Orge guilloché of the PF051 automatic manufacture movement beating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and offering a power reserve of 48 hours.
