Omega is launching the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep collection. Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep, Omega Days 2022. Prices and specs.
Omega is launching today the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep, a collection of professional diver's watches based on the same Ultra Deep technology that in 2019 made it possible to reach the deepest place on Planet Earth.
In April of that year, three Ultra Deep watches joined explorer Victor Vescovo on a mission to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of 10,935 metres (35,876 feet), the deepest any human or watch has ever dived. Thanks to their build and design, all three watches completed the 12-hour dive without a problem.
To introduce the new line, Omega released seven models, all of them water-resistant to 600 bar (6,000 metres / 20,000 feet) and housed in imposing cases measuring 45.5 mm x 18.12 mm.
The first version comes in sand-blasted and forged Grade 5 titanium and is equipped with a brushed ceramic bezel enriched by a Liquidmetal diving scale. The streamlined asymmetrical case is further characeterised by the typical “Manta Lugs” seen in the original Ultra Deep model.
These lugs support a striped NATO strap, in cyan and black, made from polyamide yarn sourced from 100% recycled fishing nets and secured to the wrist with a loop and buckle in grade 5 Titanium.
Anti-reflective on both sides, the protuberant and domed sapphire crystal protects a dial made of black ceramised titanium with cyan numerals and a blued gradient on the central seconds hand.
The caseback features a black laser- engraved Sonar emblem, with the unmistakeable Omega Seahorse at its centre encircled by the words “Diver’s watch 6000 m for saturation diving”.
The other six models in the Ultra Deep collection have been built in O-MEGASTEEL, a brand new high-performance stainless steel alloy that offers superior strength and corrosion-resistance, whiter colour and exceptional shine. Like the titanium model, also the steel models feature ceramic bezels with diving scale and the new crown guards for improved protection.
The range include three main variations that can be matched to either a rubber strap or an O-MEGASTEEL bracelet. The straps feature a technical diving suit structure on the upper surface, along with an O-MEGASTEEL buckle. The bracelets are equipped with a patented extendable foldover rack-and-pusher, with a complementary length adjustment and an extra diver extension.
The first variation combines a blue to black gradient-effect dial, 18K white gold hands and hour markers and a polished black ceramic bezel.

The second proposal features a lacquered white dial with four Arabic numerals in blue and a polished blue ceramic bezel.
Ref. 215.32.46.21.04.001 and 215.30.46.21.04.001
The gray to black gradient-effect dial of the third variation is complemented by four Arabic numerals in orange and a polished ceramic bezel in a striking orange colour.
Ref. 215.32.46.21.06.001 and 215.30.46.21.06.001
All casebacks are made of Grade 5 titanium with the same laser-engraved Sonar emblem and wording as the full titanium model.
All watches in this collection are Master Chronometer certified at Switzerland’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance and are driven by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912 beating at the frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour). Featuring a free sprung-balance with silicon balance spring, this state-of-the-art movement guarantees at least 60 hours of power reserve.
The new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Ultra Deep in O-MEGASTEEL has a price of Euro 12,000 / US$ 11,600 with a lined rubber strap or Euro 12,300 / US$ 11,600 with a metal bracelet. The titanium on NATO strap version (ref. 215.92.46.21.01.001) retails at Euro 13,100 / US$ 12,300. Euro prices include VAT while US$ ones are excluding local sales taxes. omegawatches.com
Nice addition to the Seamaster family. Maybe a bit thick but at the end these are for large wrists.
