In 2022 Bulgari celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Octo, a collection that in just 10 years has become an icon of contemporary watchmaking, with the Octo Finissimo Automatic 10th Anniversary and the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic 10th Anniversary, two limited editions of 200 pieces each that the Roman brand has presented today together with the spectacular Octo Finissimo Ultra, the world thinnest mechanical watch (you can read about it here).

The two models are characterised by dials that replicate the first sketches made by Bulgari’s Product Creation Executive Director, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani, for two flagship models in the Octo Finissimo saga – the Automatic and the Chronograph GMT Automatic. 

The Octo Finissimo Automatic, established a world record in 2017 as the thinnest ultra-thin automatic watch on the market with a total thickness of 5.15 mm. Two years later, in 2019, the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic added a fifth world record to the collection becoming the thinnest ever mechanical chronograph in watchmaking history (6.90 mm).

Just like the standard editions, the case, dial and bracelet of these two Anniversary models are crafted from ultralight titanium whose sandblasted finish contrasts with the black PVD-treated hands, the hour-markers, the Bulgari logo and the engraved small seconds counter. 

Powered by the automatic Calibre BVL 138 beating at a frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) with a 65-hour power reserve, the 40 mm Octo Finissimo Automatic 10th Anniversary ref. 103672 has a retail price of Euro 15,600.

The 42 mm Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic 10th Anniversary ref. 103673 is driven by the Calibre BVL 318, an ultra-thin 4 Hz (28,800 vph) movement with peripheral rotor and 55 hours of autonomy. Its price is Euro 18,200.
