Armin Strom has unveiled today the Gravity Equal Force Jungle Green, the latest interpretation of their innovative model featuring a constant force transmission directly integrated in the mainspring barrel for exceptional precision and rate consistency.

A limited edition of only 15 pieces, this exclusive version is characterised by the striking Jungle green colour of the off-center dial that stands out against the matte black movement plate.
The green dial is further enriched by a precious guilloché decoration, whose Grain d’orge horizontal pattern well harmonises with the lines of the three parallel bridges on the right. Crafted by hand, these beautiful dials are created for Armin Strom by Kari Voutilainen, the famous Finnish watchmaker and close friend of the brand.
At 7 o'clock, a small snailed sub-dial displays the running seconds. The typical stainless steel hands are in-house manufactured and hand-finished.
Thanks to its unique architecture, the wearer can appreciate important elements of the movement while the watch sits on the wrist, including the highly efficient unidirectionally winding micro-rotor, the barrel and the polished screws and jewels.
Inside the mainspring barrel, a stop-works declutch system operates to limit the torque delivered to the balance, smoothly distributing power. This solution - a first for an automatic movement - pursues the same goals of complications like the fusée-chain transmission or the constant force escapement in a different way.
On the barrel cover you can read the inscription EQUAL FORCE BARREL and see a power reserve indicator whose position continuously changes as the watch is wound. Even if it uses only a portion of the mainspring by preventing it from completely unwinding, the Armin Strom manufacture Caliber ASB19 still delivers a comfortable power reserve of 72 hours or 3 days.

Crafted from stainless steel and featuring distinctive details like the angular lugs, the large crown and the small lip at 6 o'clock, the case measures 41 mm x 12.65 mm and is finished with an alternation of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 3 bar (approximately 30 metres / 100 feet).
Through the sapphire crystal case back, it is possible to appreciate the superior finishes of the 202-component ASB19 calibre, whose balance wheel with 4 regulating screws beats steadily at the frequency of 3.5 Hz (25,200 vibrations per hour).
Plate and bridges are decorated at the highest quality level with hand-bevels, straight graining and Geneva circular graining.
Like for every other movement of the brand, Armin Strom assembles its ASB19 calibre twice. After its first assembly, the movement is painstakingly disassembled and each individual part is cleaned, dried, reassembled and lubricated before being meticulously regulated, tested, and returned to the case.
