TAG Heuer has presented the 2022 generation of Connected Watch, the Connected Calibre E4. Prices starting from €1,700 / $1,800.
TAG Heuer is launching today the new generation of its Connected Watch, the Connected Calibre E4, offering new features, improved performances and two sizes, 42 mm and 45 mm, for a wider range of customers.
Building on TAG Heuer’s long-standing heritage in the sporting world, the larger 45 model offers a striking redesigned sporty look and is equipped with a ceramic bezel. The crown has a large diameter, and stands out from the watch, offering more room for a finger to access the crown. The pushers have a mechanical feel.
The smaller 42 mm model has a more sophisticated and elegant look. It has a thinner case, with ergonomic steel pushers and a thin bezel.
Customers can now opt for a large variety of straps, including a steel bracelet or a leather strap to add refinement. For an even sportier look, customers can opt for multi-coloured rubber straps.
The new models offer a curated selection of mechanical watch faces and digital ones, including the new ‘Riverside’ watchface animated with a futuristic effect of time elapsing and the `Wellness` watchface offering information such as live heart rate and the number of steps that was taken that day.
The TAG Heuer Sports app now delivers guided workouts, built for on-the-go users to stay fit (without having to keep a smartphone nearby). These workouts consist of programmes of exercises with pre-set lengths. TAG Heuer’s Sports app is available on both the new 45 mm model and 42 mm model, as well as the previous generation of Connected watches.
Over the past years, TAG Heuer’s sports application has been revamped to allow users to keep track of swimming, cycling, golf, running (indoor and outdoor) and walking performance.
The charger acts as a stand to display the watch while also charging it in the background, displaying battery percentage in a slick display.
The new screen offers industry-leading quality and contrast, particularly outdoors. High-fidelity colour reproduction means that the Connected Calibre E4 displays are seen exactly as they are meant to be, no matter what the lighting conditions are outside.
The battery life is 30% longer on the new 45 mm model compared to previous generation, which means users can use the watch intensively for sports tracking throughout the day. On the 45 mm model, users can enjoy a full day of battery life, even with five hours of using the golf functions. On the 42 mm model, users can enjoy a full day using the wellness app before the battery runs out.
Synchronising data to and from your phone gets a whole lot faster on the new Connected, thanks to Bluetooth 5.0. The new wireless standard offers data transfer at twice the speed.
The new model also adds an altimeter which works alongside the battery of other sensors in the watch including accelerometer, heart rate monitor, compass and GPS.
The new generation of Connected watch runs on Wear OS by Google. At launch, the watch will run on Wear OS 2. Users will have the option to upgrade to Wear OS 3 at no extra cost when the update becomes available.
The new generation of the TAG Heuer Connected watch will go on sale on March 10 this year, with both the 42 mm and 45 mm model available online and in select stores worldwide with prices starting from Euro 1,700 / US$ 1,800. tagheuer.com
