The Commonwealth Games is an international multi-sport event that sees athletes from over 70 Commonwealth nations and territories compete against each other. The event was first held in 1930, and, with the exception of 1942 and 1946, has taken place every four years since then.

As the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the 2022 edition of the Commonwealth Games that will be held in Birmingham (England) from 28 July to 8 August, Longines is presenting the HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games. 

Water-resistant to 300 metres / 1,000 feet thanks to a screw-down crown, this timepiece comes in a 41 mm stainless steel case equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel enriched by a black ceramic insert displaying the colours of the Commonwealth Games logo. The same colours appear on the minute track of the black sunray dial, protected by a sapphire crystal with several layers of anti-reflective coating on both sides.

The large silvered hands and the hour markers are filled with Super-LumiNova for improved readability in poor light conditions.

The movement of choice is the self-winding movement Calibre L888.3 (based on the ETA A31.L01) operating at the frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour with an autonomy of 72 hours. Its silicon balance-spring ensures high-precision and a longer life span. 

The screwed solid caseback is engraved with the Birmingham 2022 logo and “Limited Edition - 1 out of 2022”.

Completed by a stainless steel bracelet secured to the wrist by a double security folding clasp with an integrated diving extension-piece, the Longines HydroConquest XXII Commonwealth Games ref.
