HYT is back

The return of HYT with launch in January 2022 under the lead of Davide Cerrato and new owner Kairos Technology Switzerland SA

In 2012, HYT - an acronym which stood for Hydro Mechanical Horologists - created a lot of buzz with its hybrid mechanical-fluidic technology using fluid to display time (you can read our article on their first model, the H1, here).

After filing for bankruptcy in March 2021, HYT is now back thanks to Kairos Technology Switzerland SA which took over all the technological and marketing assets of HYT and appointed Davide Cerrato as new CEO. Davide is a veteran of the watchmaking industry and served brands such as Panerai, Tudor and, more recently, Montblanc/Minerva in the role of Managing Director of the watch division.

While accepting the new challenge, Davide Cerrato said: "I am delighted to take over the general management of this magnificent brand. HYT has succeeded in bringing a new dimension to the watch industry thanks to its innovative and groundbreaking content. The brand is thus clearly positioned as a "trailblazer" for fine watchmaking in the new millennium.
