Breitling is launching the Super AVI collection, 5 models inspired by legendary aircrafts like the Mosquito, the Mustang and others. Prices and specs.

A tribute to the world of aviation, the Super AVI collection from Breitling introduces five new chronographs whose inspiration comes from four legendary aircrafts from the past: the North American Aviation P-51 Mustang, the Vought F4U Corsair, the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, and the de Havilland Mosquito.

The key design elements are taken from the recently launched re-edition of the original 1953 “Co-Pilot” Ref. 765 AVI aviator’s watch (you can read about it here).

The five new models are housed in 46 mm x 15.9 mm cases equipped with knurled bezels and oversized crowns. They are all water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet.

The dials guarantee excellent readability thanks to large Arabic numerals. In addition to the chronograph function, they can track a second time zone using the 24-hour marking on the inner bezel and the red-tipped GMT hand. 

The first model, the Super AVI P-51 Mustang, comes in two variations: in steel with a black dial and a gold-brown leather strap or in 18k red gold with an anthracite dial and a black leather strap. Prices: CHF 9,800 / Euro 9,600 / US$ 10,100 and CHF 22,900 / Euro 22,400 / US$ 23,650, respectively.

The stainless steel Super AVI Tribute to Vought F4U Corsair features a blue dial with tone-on-tone chronograph counters and a black leather strap. Price: CHF 9,800 / Euro 9,600 / US$ 10,100.

Also crafted from steel, the Super AVI Curtiss Warhawk is characterised by a militar green dial with white contrasting chronograph counters and red accents. Price: CHF 9,800 / Euro 9,600 / US$ 10,100. 

The Super AVI Mosquito combines a stainless steel case with a polished and satin-brushed black

ceramic bezel. The white chronograph counters stand out against the black dial while the orange accents recall the roundels and markings found on the Mosquito aircraft. Price: CHF 9,900 / Euro 9,700 / US$ 10,250. 

The movement of choice for all the five models is the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B04 movement beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and providing approximately 70 hours of power reserve. breitling.com
