The blue dial of the new Little Lange 1 Moon Phase by A. Lange & Söhne is enriched by thousands of tiny stars that seem to sparkle thanks to a coating of dark-blue gold flux that shimmers with a copper hue.

The applied Roman numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock as well as the star-shaped hour markers between them are crafted from rhodiumed gold just like the hands.

Integrated in the small seconds sub-dial, a white-gold moon orbits along its course with impressive precision (assuming that the watch runs continuously, the display would only have to be corrected by one day every 122.6 years) surrounded by 628 stars that enrich the white-gold lunar disc.

The signature Lange outsize date and the UP/DOWN power-reserve indicator completes a composition of rare beauty.

The 36.8 mm white gold case houses the Lange manufacture calibre L121.2, a hand wound movement decorated and assembled by hand with plates and bridges made of untreated German silver and the typical three-quarter plate architecture.

Manufactured in-house, the high-precision balance spring beats at the frequency 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour with a power reserve of 72 hours.

The gold chatons secured with cornflower-blue steel screws and the Glashütte ribbing are other typical decorative elements that make the A. Lange & Söhne movements so special.
