Audemars Piguet - Royal Oak Green Dial models 2021

Audemars Piguet presented five new Royal Oak models adorned by green dials.

The first, and most interesting, model is a 950 platinum Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin ref. 15202PT.OO.1240PT.01 featuring a smoked green dial embellished with a sunburst pattern.

This is the first time that this configuration has been employed within the 15202 collection (you can read the history of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak model, the masterpiece of artist and designer Gerald Genta, here). 

The 41 mm case is just 8.1 mm in thickness and water resistant to 50 metres / 165 feet. Framed by the signature bezel and protected by a glareproofed sapphire crystal, the dial displays hours, minutes and date. No "Petite Tapisserie" decoration for this model. 

The white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands are treated with luminescent coating to improve legibility in poor light conditions.

The watch is powered by the automatic Manufacture Calibre 2121 equipped with a 22-carat gold oscillating weight. Beating at 19,800 vibrations per hour, it offers 40 hours of autonomy.

Exclusively reserved for AP boutiques but not a limited edition, the Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin Platinum Smoked Green Dial ref. 15202PT.OO.1240PT.01 has a price of CHF 90,150 (excluding sales taxes). 

The second model is a limited-edition, the Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph ref. 26331BA.OO.1220BA.02  with a 41 mm yellow gold case and a green “Grande Tapisserie” dial complemented with three snailed counters. 

The “Audemars Piguet” name on the dial is formed of 24-carat gold and realised using galvanic growth. The model is fitted with a solid caseback engraved with “Limited Edition” (125 pieces). This model is supplied with two additional straps: green calfskin and green rubber.

Lastly, we have three new Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon variations housed in 41 mm cases with green dials characterised by the "Evolutive Tapisserie” pattern introduced in recent years.

Limited to 10 pieces, the first reference (26533OR.OO.1220OR.01) comes with an 18-carat pink gold case with matching hour-markers and hands. 

The second model (ref. 26534TI.OO.1220TI.01) is crafted in full titanium and limited to 50 pieces.

 

The third interpretation (ref. 26533OR.OO.1220OR.01) combines a titanium case with an 18-carat white gold bezel set with 32 baguette-cut emeralds (~2.41 carats), each individually cut, faceted and set by hand. Limited to 15 pieces.  

These three models are powered by the Manufacture Calibre 2950, the latest generation of the Audemars Piguet flying tourbillon. Beating at the frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour), this automatic movement guarantees an autonomy of 65 hours. audemarspiguet.com
