Parmigiani Fleurier pays homage to founder Michel Parmigiani, who has just turned 70, with the introduction of the Toric Heritage, a limited-edition timepiece that recalls the original design of the first wristwatch that Michel ever designed.

The 42.8 mm x 10 mm case in polished stainless steel is embellished by hand-done knurling and doubly alternating gadroons. The curves of the Toric Heritage case are inspired by the Golden Ratio. This can be noticed in the relationship between the hands, the fluted angles in the crown, the length to width ratios, the rate of curvature of the lugs as they taper away from the case, up to the case-back design.

The anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects a blue dial, adorned with a radiating Grain d’Orge guilloché. The open-worked javelin hands are typical of the Toric collection. The applied hour numerals, in a lilting Hindu-Arabic font, are 18k white gold and coated in rhodium. The date is indicated in a curved aperture at 6 o’clock. 

The COSC-certified Parmigiani Fleurier in-house Caliber PF441 features a variable inertia balance ensuring long term stability, greater shock resistance, and less sensitivity to the watch wearing position.

The double barrel guarantees a more stable and linear distribution of energy compared to a single barrel. Beating at the frequency of 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), this self-winding movement offers 55 hours of power reserve.

Through the transparent sapphire caseback, the owner can appreciate the beautiful finishes, including Côtes de Genève stripes, polished angles, circular-graining, spiral-wound, and circular-graining on the plates alone. All 7 bridges are hand beveled. The 22 ct rose gold oscillating weight is decorated with the same Grain d’Orge guilloché motif seen on the dial.
