Singer Reimagined launched the Flytrack. The price of the Singer Reimagined Flytrack Prime Edition is CHF 26,500.
After successfully launching the awards-winning Track 1 chronograph in 2017, Singer Reimagined is introducing today the Flytrack, a minimalistic, yet sophisticated, interpretation of the chronograph.
The Flytrack is a “time only” watch and is characterised by its distinctive peripheral hours disc indication combined with central minutes and central sweeping seconds. But a proprietary solution allows the instant conversion of the central sweeping seconds hand into a flyback chronograph-hand making it possible to measure multiple, sequential events by simply using the push-button at 2 o’clock.
To develop this complication, Singer Reimagined teamed up with AgenHor, the renowned Atelier Genevois d’Horlogerie led by master watchmaker Jean-Marc Wiederrecht. The unique Singer AGH6364 mechanism allows the measurement of short events, as many times you wish, without interfering with the watch timekeeping.
Holding the push button down keeps the seconds hand motionless at zero. When you release it, the hand instantly starts. Another push and the hand will reset and restart for ultra fast measuring of short events (max 60 seconds).
The official Flytrack Collection launch is scheduled for Spring 2021, but 30 pieces in three exclusive 10-piece limited editions can be reserved now.
All of them come in 43 mm x 15 mm Grade 5 titanium cases with matte micro-blasted finishing and hand polished accents. An 18k gold digit hand-applied on the watch case indicates the individual number of each timepiece.
Softly curved for enhanced ergonomics and equipped with a sapphire crystal with double-sided antireflective coating, the barrel-shaped case of the Singer Reimagined Flytrack is water resistant to 10 ATM (approximately 100 metres / 330 feet).
The three models of the Flytrack Prime Edition differ for their chronographic scales - Tachymeter, Pulsometer, and Telemeter - and other characterising elements.
The Tachymeter edition offers the possibility to compute the average speed based on travel time, a tool favoured by drivers and pilots.
The matte black velvet-touch dial allows the wearer to measure average speeds from 20 to 300 Km/h. This edition features a circular brushed rehaut with black indexes and a rotating hour disc in black matte ceramic with an orange luminescent arrow. It is matched to a black soft calf leather strap, in rally style, with orange stitching.
Integrating a scale that was originally developed to allow doctors to assess their patients more easily, the Pulsometer edition simplifies the calculation of the heart rate.
The matte Tobacco velvet-touch dial provides a nice contrast to the ecru scale indexed to 15 beats. An ecru luminescent arrow on the rotating disc in matte black ceramic indicates the hour. Black indexes stand out against the circular brushed golden rehaut facilitating the reading of the time. The brown calfskin leather strap with orange stitching completes the look of this edition.
Finally, the Telemeter edition makes it possible to calculate the distance to an event that can be both seen and heard (like lightning and thunder or fireworks). Telemeter scales were often used in military watches to discover how far an enemy artillery was stationed.
This edition is identified by its green accents. The matte black velvet-touch dial features a luminescent green distance scale, measuring up to 15 km. Luminescent green indexes stand out against the circular brushed black rehaut. The rotating hour disc in black matte ceramic features a white luminescent arrow. The black technical textile strap has green stitching.
Beating at the frequency of 3 Hz (21,600 vibrations per hour) and featuring an exclusive convertible flyback sweep second hand, the hand-wound AGH6364 movement is comprised of 314 components and 49 jewels, with two barrels to guarantee the power reserve of 55 hours.
The clutch, provided with triangular teeth, features a ratio of one tooth to three, to limit jumping forward or backward, allowing to reduce errors in case of shock.
A large lever permanently keeps the system engaged, allowing the seconds hand swiping motion. When the user presses the reset button, the lever releases the clutch which disengages. The lever also acts as a reset hammer by pressing on a heart-cam in the center. When the user releases the button, the lever returns to its initial position and re-engages the system to restart the seconds hand motion instantly.
The beautiful finishes of this exclusive movement can be appreciated through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
