The latest Porsche Panamera is equipped with an on-board chronometer from Porsche Design. This clock features a high-quality metal dial, ceramic indices and manufacture-made hands. Thanks to a specially developed lighting technology, the time is displayed in the fashion of a high-quality made wristwatch and offers perfect readability in poor light conditions and even in the dark.
Aligned to the style of this exclusive clock, the new Sport Chrono wristwatch collection introduced by Porsche Design includes a chronograph and three “three-hand models” with small seconds.
The Sport Chrono Black & Leather chronograph comes in a 42 mm x 14.90 mm titanium case with black carbide coating while the Sport Chrono Subsecond three-hand models in titanium are slightly thinner with a total thickness of 12.25 mm. Featuring the characteristic gaps at the band attachment, all these timepieces are water resistant to 100 metres / 330 feet.
The chronograph is powered by the COSC-certified Porsche Design caliber WERK 01.100, while the three-hand models are equipped with the new, in-house developed Porsche Design caliber WERK 03.200, also certified by COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) as a chronometer. Both automatic movements beat at 28,800 vibrations per hour, with a power reserve of 48 hours for the WERK 01.100 and 38 hours for the WERK 03.200.
In contrast to the Subsecond models, which are equipped with a closed case back, the chronograph features a sapphire crystal case back displaying the high-quality movement and its openworked winding rotor with the P-Icon.
The dials offer excellent readability thanks to pure white indices and hands that stand out against the black, blue or brown backgrounds. The sportiness of the chronograph is further emphasised by the red colour used for the tips of the chronograph hands.
The watches are matched to genuine Porsche car leather straps with folding clasps.
